A new sales engineer has joined the growing team at bolting specialists Gee-Force Hydraulics as its business swells in the East of England, London and south-east.
Matt Brooks brings 13 years’ expertise in the oil & gas industry to the Great Yarmouth-based company, with vast experience of using the equipment Gee-Force Hydraulics hires and sells on-site on projects worldwide. Born and bred in Gorleston, the former Cliff Park student has worked as a project coordinator for Halliburton, EnerMech, Baker Hughes and other big names in Korea, Kuwait, Oman, Australia, Iraq and Holland.
His new role will focus on building the Gee-Force Hydraulics client network across the oil & gas and offshore wind sectors, the crane and construction industry, manufacturing and food production industries.
Graeme Cook, Gee-Force Hydraulics managing director, said Matt’s background using the product range as part of his day-to-day work gave him “huge credibility” among clients.
“Matt’s job is to build the business in London, Kent and the south-east building new relationships and new hire and sales business in previously untapped areas and sectors for us. There is plenty of potential industries for business in the south-east.”
Gee-Force Hydraulics consolidated its business in Great Yarmouth last year preparing for future growth. It was acquired by HTL last year after they had worked as partners for years.
“One of the first new pieces of kit Matt will be introducing clients and new clients to is an industry game-changer, a battery wrench means no external power source making it ideal for working at height, which will really make a difference. We are already hiring out battery wrenches.”
Matt’s decision to build a career locally was driven by being at home more with his young family.
“I have many contacts in the industry and I’m looking forward to exploring the potential for Gee-Force for both hire and sales in new sectors in the south-east and London. It’s a huge benefit that I have used most of the equipment in my jobs so I am familiar with it all.”
