Gee-Force extends on-the-spot service to offshore wind

Growing bolting specialist Gee-Force is extending its promise of getting tools in clients’ hands quicker than any competitor to the offshore wind industry.

In its most successful year, Gee-Force Hydraulics is planning to expand its reputation for swift hire and supply to oil & gas companies from its on-the spot Great Yarmouth base to the growing offshore wind industry on its doorstep with a new range of electronic wrenches.

Managing director Graeme Cook said EvoTorque2, in Norbar’s extensive range stocked at Gee-Force’s Beacon Park base in Gorleston, was perfect for turbine assembly, about to start at Great Yarmouth Port.

“EvoTorque2 is also ideal for the maintenance of turbine towers. It provides solutions in a single tool to complications and health and safety concerns in using two tools. The EvoTorque2 runs down the bolts and also achieves the final torque. “It offers incredible control in tough conditions and solutions for ease of operation and manoeuvrability in confi ned spaces. “EvoTorque2 also records the torque data for audit purposes, providing total traceability.” Up to 12 user IDs can be downloaded to one tool.

“Being in Great Yarmouth means we can sort requests for our HTL, SPX and Norbar ranges quickly without huge carriage costs.” “One of the key drivers of offshore companies is to save money. We help that by being so close.”
